Decorah's beautiful walking/biking trail along the Upper Iowa River, once called Dug Road, was the inspiration for the name,

DUG ROAD INN

Nestled among tall pines and in the heart of Decorah, the Inn is a spectacular blend of classic & contemporary style.  The 1860's Italianate villa features original artwork & custom furnishings in its three guest rooms, two suites and lovely public spaces.

Enjoy the secluded front porch, outdoor fire pit, grill, nearby parks and the wonderful new paved 12-mile trail, with access just down the block.  Return indoors to sit next to a warm fireplace, relax in a jetted tub or enjoy an in-room massage.

Our Eco-friendly Inn features pure, natural & organic body products, chemical-free cleaning & laundry materials, organic cotton bedding with Down pillows and comforters & no/low VOC finishes.  Healthy & relaxing Swedish & Deep Tissue Massages, Reiki & other treatments are available by the Inn's Licensed & Certified Therapist.

With our gourmet chef in the kitchen, the DUG ROAD INN breakfast features local, seasonal & organic meat, produce & baked goods.  The organic & fair trade coffee is fresh roasted & ground &  a variety of quality teas are offered. Breakfast is served in courses by DUG ROAD INN’S “butler extraordinaire” on the lovely front porch or in the elegant and comfortable dining room.

Come, enjoy a beverage on Dug Road Inn's porch & begin a stay filled with relaxation, laughter & delicious food. Be as social or private as you wish.
